Sensors

Datasensor
The future of photoelectric sensors will be characterised by more optic-application functions in standardised product lines, highlighting the manufacturer’s competitive advantage. DATASENSOR focuses its activity on factory automation, component standardisation and product configuration. DATASENSOR has adopted the principles of ‘lean thinking’ to offer flexibility to customers. The ability to rapidly adapt and follow the dynamic external scenery, combining ‘minor stock with improved service’ is based on the experience of an effective just-in-time management, supported by a patent-covered technique denominated DYBAN™.

FESTO
The new generation of FESTO opto-electronic sensors stands out because of its combination of small dimensions with maximum functionality and reliability whether for standard applications or for special requirements such as colour recognition or distance measurement using lasers. For maximum productivity the sensitive internal parts of the FESTO sensors are offered the best of protection in the form of a sturdy housing, generally to protection class IP67. The simple teach-in mode featured on many of the FESTO sensors ensures that you can start working as quickly as possible. They really are easy to use.

SIEMENS
For sensing, counting, measuring, monitoring or positioning of objects in solid, liquid or powder form, SIEMENS proximity switches can always be relied upon. Moreover, SIEMENS proximity switches equipped with IQ-Sense have equally sharpened senses plus just the right amount of intelligence. Here sensors and control are combined in a single system. The unique concept ensures maximum plant availability and prevents errors from the project engineering stage through to the wiring phase.

SICK
SENSICK is the brand name for highly advanced and powerful sensor technology. SICK and SENSICK automation solutions can be found wherever processes have been optimised and improved. Today, with over 3300 employees in more than 20 different countries, SICK is one of the world’s leading sensor manufacturers.
Accessories
AS-Interface Components
The Actuator-Sensor Interface, called AS-lnterface® for short, is a system with which simple, binary and analog terminals – sensors, actuators and control units – can be networked via a cable on the lowest field level with the first control level.
AS-lnterface® is not a conventional field bus, but instead is to be seen as an “intelligent wiring”, which was designed as a universal and “open” system to provide a manufacturerindependent solution on the lowest field level. Consequently, it handles an area, which can only be reached with difficulty or not at all.
Fibre Optic Amplifiers
All the universal optic functions of through-beam and proximity, as well as the application functions ranging from contrast and luminescence to colour detection, can be obtained using fibre optic sensors. The optic fibres can be considered as cables that transport light and can be used to dislocate the sensor's optics in small spaces, or to detect very small objects.
Flow Sensors
Diagnosis and condition monitoring processes can be simplified by monitoring flow rates. An altered flow rate is often an indicator of impending problems. In addition, the quality of finished products can also be monitored.
Inductive Sensors
When voltage becomes information, induction often plays a part. Inductive sensors detect metallic objects in typically very small scanning areas. The sensor diameter is the decisive factor for the switching distance which is often only a few millimetres. On the other hand, inductive sensors are fast, accurate and extremely rugged. Inductive sensors keep a close watch on all metals. From detection through to distance measurement of metallic objects.
Level Sensors
Level sensors are used to detect liquid level. The liquid to be measured can be inside a container or can be in its natural form (e.g. a river or a lake). The level measurement can be either continuous or point values. Continuous level sensors measure level within a specified range and are used to know the exact amount of liquid in a certain place and Point level sensors only measures a specific level, generally this is used to detect high level alarms or low level alarms.
Optical, Photoelectric Sensors (Application)
Application sensors are photocells that, due to technical particulars or optic function specialisation, can be used only in some specific applications.
Optical, Photoelectric Sensors (Universal)
Universal sensors include all sensors with basic optic functions that can be used for common object detection, in very vast and differentiated applications. The basic optic functions are through beam, retroreflex and proximity. The various series of universal sensors differ principally for housing shape and dimensions, which condition the performances such as operating distances.

Pressure Sensors
Efficient and reliable pressure and vacuum monitoring and regulation are fundamental to pneumatic automation. They expand the spectrum of applications for systems, provide more security, and offer the option of remote maintenance and monitoring.
